Dunlop racing tyre supply problem

Dear all,
As you probably know Dunlop are moving their production to Portugal. Ordered some 4.50 M13 CR65 racing tyres for my newly acquired 998 club racer. Have been on back order for 2 + months now. The car has not raced for 7 or so years so the old ones are like rock. The kind people at HP Tyres let me have 3 part worns which should be ok for testing etc until the new stuff arrives. That just leaves me one short. Wondering if anybody out there has got a spare one part worn new or anything that could be used to get me out there - will exchange for hard currency... Imp006

Many thanks,

Keith

Hi I am retired and live in Alvito Portugal. news to me that Dunlop have moved over here .
I won the Donnington Gt championship in 1980 . fairly boring lapped everyone at least once apart from the 2nd place runner who was in my sights during the last lap.
My own designed and constructed spaceframe imp had full ground effect and a huge full width aerofoil behind the back wheels .
The only place for brakes was the old chicane

Yes, they are up and running and I have been using the new tyres - some people think there are differences, but not that I could detect, they did wear quite quickly, but that could have been abrasive tracks.

Tell us more about your car - does it still exist, do you have any photos that you can post?

Cheers - Simon
