Hi from Malta,
Just a quick question; Do FIA Homologation papers exist for an Imp running twin Weber 40 DCOE carbs?
Best regards,
Bob.

I don't think so, never heard of any.
IIRC twin 40's were allowed mod in FIA group 2 regs for a couple of years from late 60's (1969?). This was for any car, not just Imps.

Re: Homologation papers for twin 40's
Imps were run in Group 5 in 1965-1969, and there was almost complete freedom with regard to engine specs. Group 2 came in for 1970 in the UK, and inlet and exhaust systems were free, as long as the original cylinder head casting was used. Forthermore, re-boring up to the class limit was legal, so the 875 Sport engine could be re-linered and bored to 998cc, and twin 40 DCOEs or DHLAsHillmaniac wrote:Hi from Malta,

were legal and used with the appropriate tubular inlet/exhaust manifold. No homologation paperwork for these items were needed.

Many thanks for the information. I have papers for the front rad, disc brakes and 13x6 Alloy wheels but nothing for the Webers and was wondering if they exist.... just in case!
Thanks again and regards from Malta!
Bob.
