If you want any more nearer to the Event, please get back to me.
Ilkley MC ran Chirk Castle last year which was "challenging".
As the organisers hadn't realised that the whole of Manchester and Liverpool wanted to come and watch.
Sorry, that is an exaggeration, but I'm sure you get the drift............
Spectators cars were abandoning cars everywhere.
We were close to losing the Stage.
The Police just left walked away.
Fortunately for me, I wasn't there as my back problem was making walking difficult and I decided to give it a miss.
As I'm currently confined to a wheelchair, courtesy of Red Cross, so may not be there this year, but lets hope things improve.
I have some good memories of sleeping in a car in a Welsh Forest and waking up to find I was surrounded by other cars doing the same.
The whole place just came alive at daybreak.

I was there last year as a spectator and saw 6 WRC Rally Cars go through :o then decided to leave early before everyone else tried to
The veiwing area was chaos as there was one footbridge to take spectators into the centre area and the marshals tried to operate a one way system over it, I really felt sorry for them :)
Didn't think that it would be back there again but the owners wanted it back, so hopefully lessons were learnt and things will be better this year :D .
Just glad I didn't pay to get it
I too have great memories of spectating in the old days...when it was free
Sorry to hear about your wheelchair confinment Colin :(

Yep.
Ilkley Marshals were in the thick of try to sort that, as they were left to deal with the mess as best they could.

The MSA Organisers are admitting that they mis-judged the situation and number of Spectators, and are saying that: "lessons have been learned" and they are planning big changes to the Spectator facilities for 2014.
The Stage was fine for the Competing Cars.
So it should be OK this year.
Sadly Great Orme is not a Stage, as the parking on the top is not available.
Pity as that is one I wanted to see. I didn't make it last year, as I was havng difficulty walking.
Sadly, that problem is now much worse.
