Well that's a bit weird, on Thursday they(HSCC) were showing the provisional entry list on the calendar with seven or eight Imp's listed.
I think Adrian Oliver was on the list, but can't remember who else was.

Yes, Adrian, David 'Jensen' Heale, Shaun Hazlewood, Jon Orr and myself - lovely weather, some problems for most of us. 2 wins for Adrian despite being nurfed off at the start of race 1 which was red flagged. I broke a driveshaft, David had ignition problems, Shaun had plug problems, but finished. Jon was pleased to finish after a loose oil pipe in practice. Second race, David was running a new dizzy but the drive gear broke, I had a good run from the back of the grid until my gear lever broke with 1 and a half laps to go, so had to struggle round in 4th.

Tea's ready, got to go.

I was double driving Richard Tompkins imp at a trial in kidderminster and beat him by 3 points in his own car.
I will be at Brands though.

I had a saga on the Saturday Dax winched the car on and I noticed the hub nut and end was missing off the nearside drive shaft!
No spares so i had to build one up and finally fit it arriving gone midnight at the circuit.

Not a roaring start then getting pushed off in the first race, then the restart was odd as they did not reform the grid they just seemed to say that will do and waved the flag! So 2 wins what an unexpected bonus and 2 seconds faster with the 4 speed box with no LSD?

Great photos of the weekend Matt.

The best bit of commentary all weekend was something along the lines of "and Adrian Oliver has hit the wall...... and he is carrying on" with a hint of surprise.

I had a good start made up a few places with Simon ahead of me, only to biffed by an Anglia skewing me sideways and onto the grass and the rear wing catching the barrier crunch, I tried driving it and all sounded ok temp fine oil pressure good and drove ok so I was off again in time to see the tumbling Anglias and bits flying everywhere what a mess.

Thats why in one of Matts photos I have no boot due to the scrutineers removing it as it was a bit knacked, and you can see the dinged corner.
Fortunatley I have a wing section to replace it with, like I have the time huff!

Hi jim

Yes, we have the details and there is a surprise entry in a familiar car.

Usual suspects are Andy Jones, Adrian Oliver, Jon Orr, Shaun Hazlewood, David 'Jenson' Heale, Nick Lunn (hopefully, engine permitting) and me.

Guest driver in Stuart Kerr's car will be Tony Trimmer :o

I'm sure the regulars will give him a hard time!

Should be a fantastic meeting with a great selection of cars racing over the 2 days - we are out on Sunday.

Cheers - Simon

yes, tony is an old friend grew up around him - promised him the drive at the beginning of the year though now wishing i was driving.. he was due to drive a F5000 car at the same event, but there were problems with the car. Chalk and cheese F5000 and an Imp :-)

Looking forward to the weekend, will be great to see Tony with a roof over his head!!! Graham is also coming along Sunday.

Tony emailed this morning, had just completed 200 laps of brands in JP brands experience sports car...

I understand that Andy won't be out - only just got his shell back from the body shop and is letting work get in the way of play

If Tony Trimmer has done 200 laps of Brands :o then that is probably more than I have done since I started racing, so maybe we won't be keeping him honest!

And the race is at 16:25 ish on Sunday...

Well, there are huge variations in the cars on our grid, the different types are quicker in differing places on any circuit. Most of the drivers are club racers who cannot afford to get enough track time. And even the best make mistakes. But it is most important to avoid any contact and to try to give every one else some room for their own mistakes.
