I am rebuilding an Imp for road rallies, sprints and hillclimbs. What shock asorbers do you think I should be using with Monte Carlo springs?
Some reports say Spax or Koni but what reference should I be ordering?
Can anyone help please, many thanks

Re: Shock absorbers
You'll find the spax part numbers on here somewhere - make sure the rears are wide-bodied to reduce the risk of overheating them, and adjustable spring platforms for the front. Konis are reputedly better but good ones are hard to find and the price may well reflect that.
Do me a deal? Employ me for 3 days and pay me for what I'm currently being paid for 5, then I'll have time to do everything!

Re: Shock absorbers
With shock absorbers, as with many things in life, it seems you get what you pay for. I would love a set of Konis, Nitrons or the super-whizz shocks as per moose's post above. But I simply cannot afford them at the moment. My Spax will suffice for now but I know that my car could be better. (It could also be on the road... one day... ) But for my purposes - mostly road use for now - they will be fine.
