No idea really I'm afraid.

Looks like his business is still going, but whether Harry himself is still with us I know not.

Searching on Google I found somebody suggesting he sold it on to one Neil West and it was subsequently destroyed in an accident but couldn't find any further confirmation of this.

Hi Spacehopper,

The car was destroyed in a big accident at Sandown, although I have heard that perhaps the remains may still exist. Harry Lefoe passed away several years ago.

I met one of the men who helped build the car at the Winton historic races a few years back, and have a magazine article profiling the car, it was very much an amateur affair, following an earlier Rootes-powered (Minx/Sunbeam) open wheeler. The regs on open wheelers tightened up which led a lot of amateur constructors/racers to move into sports sedans. They were followed soon after by bigger & more professional racers and life became very difficlut. The Imp was as you may expect, renowned for being fast down the straights and spinning on the corners!

Cheers,
John
