hi guys

well what can i say ive had the pleasure of doing work on george gunns jarvis jedi imp

what a tool i cant believe how light it is!!
we have had the job of mounting the hayabusa engine in the car and making the exhaust

ive taken loads of photos of it before and afters

will keep you posted

I want a spaceframe Imp... The bank manager says no, though... :x

Mine would have to be a Maguire rep, though. Gorgeousness in race car form! :P

EDIT - Your Jarvis spaceframe is rather lovely too! :mrgreen:

Lee,I find the easiest way with a photobucket account.
Upload pics to photobucket
Click on the selected photo.
A wee board thing with 4 things in it will drop down.
Click the bottom one,it will go a colour.
Right click,that saves it.
Come back here,click then right click,that inserts the picture.

there not the photos i wanted to put up
ive taken photos of the yellow car thats in my workshop
ive put the new engine in and starting work on the exhaust

I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank Lee and he's colleuges for the exceptional high quality of work they carried out on my car, they worked long hours to carry out deadlines. and gave daily reports in high detail of work carried out, also he gave valuable advise on bits and pieces that required attention. Lee will look after all your needs to a very high standard, I will certainly return to him in the future even if it does mean a 1200 mile round trip!! :D :D :D

george it was a great pleasure working on your car i'm not going to lie but it was also a task knowing we only had a week :o
i would like to take the time to say a huge thank you for letting us do the work on the car and just confirm that this is a lovely car, well put together, light and strong.
i wish you all the best with the car and will be on the phone any time of the day for you to call. i cant wait to fly up to see this car on the track!!

i hope all the photos ive taken help anyone that is building or thinking of building a car help

Hi, I'm newbie but have frabrication skilland also building a workshop.
I am looking at the possibility of building a spaceframed imp (for track days to start)and was wondering if there were plans or someone who would let me take mesurements from there car.
And also where to get a fiberglass body shell from.
Any help and advice would be greatfull.

Well mine had Imp engine, gearbox, suspension, rack, rear brakes, driveshafts, shape etc. :wink:

Ahh then I can see in your case its ok, but to call a space frame an IMP when it only has a face that has a sort of resemblance is not right is it, bit like fit a Rolls Royce windscreen then it becomes a Rolls Royce.

It's not supposed to be an imp though is it. It's supposed to be a silhouette racer as per "back in the day" of the super saloons. It's supposed to be a bl***y quick race car that bares some sort of resemblance to it's namesake

most of the special saloon imp/stilettos used imp suspensions all the Maguire cars did as did the rawlson chassis cars

The Bob Jarvis Stilleto was one of 2 cars built by Ray race cars they had Imp engines in them hewland gearbox
Later the Imp was replaced with a Ford motor and the car went up a couple of classes.
The other Ray stiletto was later converted to a sports car with Vauxhall xe engine to race in the Supersports series late 1990s

Pats car is the one converted to the Supersports car.It was originally built by Mike Law and he ran Pat in the car then Pat bought it.
Later the car was owned by the 2 Imp racers one lived in Billingshurst ( names escape me at present) and they later they converted
the car to the open top sports car with Vauxhall engine for Supersports.
