Re: Wheel Studs: Longer ones required
Hi,I have done this conversion to the rear of my imp to space out my superlites,I used mk1 escort group 4 studs which have a slightly thicker end on the shaft, you will need to (piller) drill out your hubs to fit them and drill out your brake drums to fit over them too, they are the same size thread as an imp 7/16th unf I believe and are available from most reputable rallysport dealers.
Loving Imps since 1963!!

Geoff
Try Merlin Motorsports website , they can supply them in two different lengths.
You will need to drill your hubs to accept the larger splines, from memory i think
its 1/2 inch

Got them on the rear of LNK (originally from Si's old Sport), easy job and work fine.
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

as well you having to drill out the stud holes in the hubs to suit the bigger spline of the escort studs - depending on the length of that splne you may have to relieve the holes in the brake drums as well to clear.
