I take your point about my outdated diesel experience but I can get into my lower weight Lotus (slightly modded 210 bhp) to get the rush you refer to. I have a soft spot for Alfas mind-you and my daily used to be a SAAB - maybe one day I'll test an upto date diesel for the crack, but I'm programmed ...

Just when you want to use those extra revs the torque/power drops off dramatically - it comes in a lump instead of a rising wave of ...

Over the first 60 feet quite a few of the competition imp based machines will smoke an evo or cosworth etc.. Ed All to do with inertia! The Imp weighs about half that of an Evo or Cosworth (around 1,300kgs each) Out of interest for a 720kg Imp to run a 13.4 quarte mile it has to produce about 130bh...

Hmmm.... 5500 rpm in top...that's 82 MPH...are you sure he pulled you over for the noise level?   or are you on a close ratio box or low profile tyres? Seriously though, what air filter system are you using? I've got twin Dellortos on the Clan and I'm wondering if I should go to the ...

I see the car has a Cornish registration! *AF ****. Proper Cornish men used to pay more money for cars with Cornish registration letters like yours! I don't know for cert if the latest regs are region specific - (I think they are aren't they?). It helps the Cornish to penetrate the jams during summe...
