Re: BAM! I am BACK!

Didn't do too badly today in the end! Made one of the doors to the garage a bit stronger and fitted a shackle/loop thing to the other door frame so that a padlock can be used to secure the second door. Got the front brakes off => MISSION. Could not shift the retaining screws even with a poxy drill! ...

Re: BAM! I am BACK!

I know I know, but I haven't had time to get the other side off lol. They look almost new and judging by the care and attention that's gone into the rest of the car I can't imagine they would have only replaced them on one side!! Right, intend to spend the whole day down the garage tomorrow. Plan is...

Re: BAM! I am BACK!

Today has mostly involved.... old brakes. Unsurprisingly, seeing as it's probably all 30 years untouched, it was all a bit stubborn! I might not be sticking with the standard front brakes, I'm not sure yet. At the moment the plan is to switch to Micra K10 front discs as they will still fit under sta...

They're Western Wheels, Hurricanes... pretty cool huh?! If nothing else the hurricanes will be easier to get tyres for because they're 13s.... but I do love the lip on the steelies... but then the hurricanes are rarer.... but then I have the right wheel nuts for the steelies would have to get some n...

It's still an 875 I think.
The pistons from it were covered in bits of concrete too from where they'd been removed and sat in the garage. I'll get some photos of it, but it is welllllllllllll gone to be honest! Fairly sure the bores are standard, so no rallye 998 unfortunately! :P

They look standard ones on the front. Think they said woodhead on them. Why, were you expecting something a bit more fancy in the engine department then? What gave you that idea from the gearstick? I'm not sure if the L4 engine that looks ready togo in, has actually been in the car at all yet. I hav...

It's surprising how consistent the thickness of sets standard tappet buckets is. I think the reason for having the plaque number on the sheet was to prevent fraudulent/duplicate/unruly voting.

It made sense to me and was a good idea IMO, bu admitedly it does detract from the secrecy somewhat!

Took the cam out today, checked the shims and reassembled it.
