Well time had come to pay renew the insurance, i'm with lancaster and when i went shopping around nobody could get even close to what my renewal was. I called them this morning to pay, and went through a bit of a chat etc, told them i was a member of the imp club and they knocked £40 off, Very nice ...

It was decided that Thursday evening was the evening was when Luke and I would pull the engine out, easy yes? .....NO! We got all the bits and pieces off and disconnected that was needed including the nuts between the engine and bellhousing. Time came to pull the engine out and it just wasn't happen...

Well going back to the clutch making some funky noises i have now at times got some lovely clutch slip, look's like the plate is on it's way out!
Looks like i will be changing the release bearing, clutch plate and the spigot in one go!

Well i got bored on sunday and the car was begging for a blast as all she was doing was a mile to uni, a mile back and the occasional mile to the shops. So i obliged and it was definatlly worth it! Gave teh car a good blast around some country lanes, really good country lanes to clip all the apex's ...

Gave the car a good wash yesterday, amazing how quickly white cars turn off white! Show's that my engine is kicking out oil with the oil up the back of the engine lid. Will fit some new gaskets to it when i take it out. Also played with the passanger side door latch, so now it shuts well, without ha...

Well it looks like that the clutch or the release bearing may be on it's way out. When pulling away sometimes it makes a lovely screaching noise, but not everytime. BUt the worst time is in reverse, it screach's the whole time the car is pulling in reverse and it's makes the car shake to pieces! Not...

Time for a real update on the car, FINALLY! The alternator wasn't working as you know so i found an old one that was spiining well and tried it, BINGO! that worked so the car now has a proper charging system which is nice! While i have been away from the car the battery has been trickle charging asw...

I like the idea Noddy, on RR they have a thread 'No rhyme, no reason, one picture per post....' where there are no words said, just pictures of nice cars, maybe we could follow suit but with pictures of only imps, bliss! Many of us have had more than one imp so i guess we can post more than one phot...

If you just spend a few hours on the 7's mate they will look good as new! I was just lazy buying new ones haha. Couple of hours a nyt for a couple of night and you got new wheels, come on after all your only in second year at uni so u got loads of free time haha ;)
