Re: HSCC Race Series 2015

Excellent race at Castle Combe yesterday - not a big grid but battles throughout. I qualified 8th but had several quick Minis immediately behind on the grid. Made a decent start (I had read the SRs and knew it was a flag start in period style) but soon had Tim Harber slipstreaming past on the approa...

Re: HSCC Race Series 2015

Tomorrow there is a historic meeting at Castle Combe and Adrian and I have entered the saloons race along with several of our usual competitors and a few cars we don't usually see. Should be a good day if anyone fancies coming to spectate.

Nothing to report at present, when there is, it will be via Impressions first. But we are working on things behind the scenes when time permits. We have some floor panels in stock. Peter, The same is true of temperatures, by using an infra red temp gauge, you can measure the temperature at different places on the tread and adjust pressures accordingly until they are reasonably close. Re: HSCC Race Series 2015

Not a bad day for the Imps yesterday at Brands. Qualifying was early but went quite well for all. I ended 15th, Steve Platts 16th, Adrian 18th, all very close. Meanwhile, Stuart Kerr's clunking from Cadwell had gone away and he was enjoying himself, getting some help from David Heale. Plenty of Impe...

Re: HSCC Race Series 2015

Very wet day at Snetterton today - 20 cars entered, but the order after qualifying was unusual... It was very slippery in practice, so I was surprised to see the Cortina of Mark Davies on pole, but he has been very quick in the ex Jo Gomm car. Next up were 2 Minis, I got 4th with Steve Platts in 6th...

Not a great weekend for the Imps, or in fact many other Historic Touring Cars. Thruxton is a fantastic circuit, very demanding and fast. If it is ready to go at £12k, then I would say that that is quite cheap, certainly a lot less than it costs to build a circuit car and probably much less than it would cost to build a similar rally car. By the time you have got a good shell, strengthened it, added a cage, put in a laminated screen a...
