Re: The Vusky. Dead for now

My mother-in-law has sciatica. It is very painful for her. So I sympathise! :| Take it easy, Dave. Is there a treatment plan? For the sciatica - not the Vusky? You are right; health comes first and clutch replacement can wait.

The air filter gaskets' cut-outs allow the float chamber to breathe. If they were blocked, say because the wrong gaskets had been used or they had been fitted the wrong way around or misaligned, the engine would run badly.

I am probably 'preaching to the choir' here, of course!

Have you sent the details to Grahame Pearson for Impressions? :)

I'd like to get along to some of the Retro Rides events this year. Obviously, I shall not be in my own Imp, though, so just visiting rather than showing.

Hmmm. Although the flywheel is new and balanced, it may still be the culprit. I have enormous respect for Colin Cashmore but it may still be worthwhile, next time it is all apart, measuring up the flywheel and getting its balance checked. If practically everything else has been eliminated - already ...

Some rolling roads do a proper job and set an engine up to perform at its best, in a given application. A great many, though, from what I read and hear, chase headline power figures, often at the expense of driveability. I think, compared to that, you would be better off doing your own set up...

Miguel, This wheel offset calculator might be of use to you. I telephoned R&R Alloys just to find out the correct offset for you. :) For a 5.5" wheel rim width, the recommended offset for standard Imp suspension is ET25. For a 6" width rim, it is ET16. For a 7" width rim, it is ET-7. I was ru...

The wheels fitted well and the car handled brilliantly. :) Does this link help? Are you familiar with The Imp Site? It is extremely informative and i...
