Re: AutoSolo's - A great way into motorsport with any imp etc

Shouldn't get through an MOT like that, never mind event scrutineering! I know! I was surprised it passed. Anyway, my point is that I want the car to be right before I compete in it. That's why I have not entered it for anything yet. I've hardly used it at all, to be honest. But I sh...

Re: AutoSolo's - A great way into motorsport with any imp etc

I am going to do autosolos some day - hopefully next season. My car is not up to scratch at the moment and would not have got through any scrutineering required. The driver's door does not shut properly and it's just not how I want it to be. I have an air compressor coming my way, though, so a respr...

Re: AutoSolo's - A great way into motorsport with any imp etc

IM - do you have a car other than an Imp? Basically you need something with four wheels and an MOT, you do not need an Imp or anything fancy / competition prepared. Whenever I've entered a solo I have done so in my everyday road car. I do but I don't think it would be great on an autosolo. :( IM 8)

Re: AutoSolo's - A great way into motorsport with any imp etc

As a self-confessed talker :( , I am keen to enter a few 'Solos myself. Life has been getting in the way somewhat and the car remains virtually untouched since last year. However, our house is really getting there now and I shall be taking most of next week off work to go over the Chamois and try to...

Sounds great but I bet it'll be miles from where I live, so petrol and accommodation costs will be the issue for me...

I really do want to get out and about in my Imp this year, though, so am on the lookout for events like this nearer to me. :)

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N

I wish I could be there. Prescott is a fantastic venue! And to see all those Imps and Imp-based cars compete... But I have to prioritise my scant money and time towards getting the ManiacImp up and running and fit for the trip up to Imp '08. :P Failure is NOT an option!

What about the oddment bins in the rear of the passenger compartment. The ones that the rear seat passengers would use. Hi Stuart. May I add my welcome too! I also hope to compete in class N in my 930cc Chamois, probably later in the season, funds permitting (and depending on whether I ever get my car back from being re-shelled or not!! )

I liked your articles in Impressions, Gerry. Interesting stuff.
