Hi Just got my wee van back from painter today really pleased with it settled for Bermuda Blue in the end.

Just bumpers to be rechromed and a bit of tidying inside

Hi Last pictures of my new Commer Van before it goes for a light restoration tomorrow.

Want to keep it as original as possible.

Can anyone tell me what colours these vans came in? and were the wheels originally black?

Just back from this last night. First class weekend well organised and a cracking location. Some beautiful cars as well. Would recommend a visit next year :D

Yes Garage is 17" wide by 38" long.

Thanks for all the nice comments 30 years ago a hillman Imp was my first car and my dad who owned Imp vans used to take me up to Ingleston any time there were imps racing. :D

Been back at the Chamois this weekend. Engine and gearbox is out and started the enjoyable job of removing the underseal :( Good old heatgun and scraper. Only one wee bit of rot so far at the top of the front spring cup. On a better note new suspension arrived and should get wishbones back from powd...

Got car up on engine stands and started removing suspension.

Works arches arrived fit not to bad at front but will need a bit of work on rear.

Well tonight it was front suspension and steering rack. No horrors so far Big thanks to one of the previous owners every bolt was oiled or greased. All underside is mega undersealed so dont think there is any point in stripping it off. Found a company on the web that does soda blasting apparently it...

Well another day of stripping fuel tank, lights , bonnet , dash ect. Not going to get car blasted as i dont want to remove loom as well as that there is remarkably no rot at all and very little sign of welding Have decided to retrim as original with full restored interior. Want to fit works arches b...
