After a break from doing anything managed to do more on fixing the Escort seats. The rear seat fixings are different each side. Same plan area but different height and also different bolt fixings c/l to c/l. Additionally length from front to rear fixing is different. Picture attached to illustrate. ...

I was in Hobbycraft the other day and they do A4 sheets of dense foam about 1.5 mm thick called Fab Foam. It comes in a variety of colours. It's easily cut with scissors and I've made a couple of gaskets with it, like the one at the bottom of the steering column outer in black. Wouldn't be too diff...

Picture of the side fixings attached. Done some checks and have started 'work'. Involves removing the Imp rear latch fixing. Dremel cut the welds. Drill out the rear fixings on the Escort seats which face outwards. Refix them again but facing inwards. Cut off the front pin to above the level of the ...

Managed to pick up a pair of Escort front seats locally for a song :o :o :D So will be looking at upgrading the seats utilising Imp runners etc. Very useful article on yahoogroups about doing this. When using a 97/0.30 wire with a 7 sq.mm area what terminals do you use? I assume it is 6.3 mm terminals at the fusebox? From the battery I use the large 9.5mm ones and for the fusebox connection the 6mm 6.3 mm ones , they are commonly found as the yellow crimps at places like Halfords , I dont use...

Thanks :) Not sure , its called Radox 155 r 155s or 155srw depending on what you need , We use it at work on everything from alternators to 3 phase mahoosive motors , expensive but the very best , colour range is a bit limited...

Work ongoing with electrics.
I am very much a 'belt and braces' man as a) it is a nightmare to me and b) had a fire in a MGA I had. So step by step with fuses and relays to protect.
Vehicle Wiring Products always know when I am working on electrics :o
