After all the electrical dramas of late decided to turn my attention to some housekeeping in the 'boot'. Courtesy of Uncle Malcolm replaced the fuel feed hose to the tank. Engine started and checks done on electrical items, one by one. Most OK but certain circuits dead. Traced back to duff 35A glass fuse in Lucas fusebox. Have removed ashtray fitment and fitted a 3 switch panel in there. This is an IMP item modified. Had fitted an Engine Start button which works well ...

Heater box etc refurbished to an usable condition. :) After 2 hours of struggling, old age taking it's toll, have the 3 nuts and 2 top locating screws in place. However, maybe just me :roll: , the demister section does not seem to fit into the top slots very well. Have tried juggling, but cannot see...

Stripped unit out and found a small hole. Hence the water. :(
Whole lot is in a tatty condition. Rivets not in place etc., so bit of a clean up and refurbish planned.

Before you take it all apart, check the condition of the little right-angle rubber pipe that goes into the heater matrix hasn't gone hard with age, cracked and failed. I've had this before. If you need a new one, you can cut down an Avenger heater pipe (gives you two right angles - so one spare for...
