Re: Ayrshire xSD / xCS / xAG series numbers

Alan as you probably know mine is BSD 747 C, I knew it was from ayrshire originally but who knows it might have come from your dads garage Had a look thro', the books, and your one is not one of "ours". Strictly speaking, we were only Hillman agents at that time, and had to get our Singers from Mac...

WYM 532H white Stiletto

I believe it was sold on e-Bay ealier this year, and went to Ireland.

As a previous owner, would like to get in touch with current owner.

Also, it was used as a wedding-car for one of my mates, and as it's his 15th Anni. coming up, he was asking me about it..........

Ayrshire xSD / xCS / xAG series numbers

Long shot here, but I've got the original sales book from my father's time as a Rootes dealer, and pretty much all the new Rootes / Imp cars he ever sold new are listed. If anyone has an Ayrshire series reg. ending in SD / CS or AG, let me know and I'll look it up on the offchance it was one of "our...

Re: fun for kids

On behalf of all the kids (big & small) of the Ramsay family, many thanks for the excellent Scalextric set-up.....the track was great, the competition well thought-out, and the prize Imps simply superb !

My wee lad already has his Pound coin ready for next year's first-round.......... :)

Re: Parts for reconditioning ?

OK, ta for that.

Just one item missed from my list.....gearbox mountings.

The Clan Club magazine mentions Ben Boult taking them but their adverts seem to stay up for ever, so not sure if Ben's request is still valid. Can anyone confirm ?

Mind you, if you'd arrived when they were off on the road-run on Saturday, quite possible there was no sign of any Imps..... Where are you in the Borders ? You should try get along ...

Looks like I don't read it often enough !! As far as the FiA list goes, 216 is indeed listed as "missing". It was for an Imp 998cc in Gp.GT . No date, but form 215 is for a Toyota, dated 1/Oct./65, and the one after, 217 for an NSU, dated 1/Dec./65....... The form I got from Ian was form 526, which ...

Depends on the categories, rules etc...... I've got a very nice genuine 1970's race imp. All original but not allowed to race in any of the historic saloon categories. The triumph suspension was put on for IIRC the first Bevan. The one that won the three championships had imp suspension. The triump...

LWK 700F -- does it still exist ??

I believe the ex-works rally car, LWK 700F , still exists.....could someone pass me the details of the current owner. I am in contact with one of it's drivers from back in the day, and they would be very interested to know how it's getting on. Please PM me, and we'll take it from there. Slainte, Alan

Well, most of the team are probably still on-site today (I bunked off last night....), but I'm sure the results and photos will be posted in due corse. I have photos of all the class winners, so jsut have to match to the owners names.

Worth saying the Dutch and Scots cars did themselves proud !
