Track Day Wednesday 31st July

Following on from the article in March Impressions, I've now booked my place for the Oulton Park Trackday, the day before this years National in Preston. I'm aware of a couple others that have said they will be doing it too, It would be great to see a few more there. Track time is 9.00 am - 5.00 pm ...

Re: What did you do to your Imp today?

Good to have a recommendation, it has the chemical that has been banned by the EU that made them effective previously, being an American product they are still using it. Bit like Chlorinated Chicken  Unfortunately out of stock at Frosts  although that it often the case with them and POR 15...

Re: What did you do to your Imp today?

Well its official new formula paint strippers suck, great for the environment I'm sure but does nothing for its effectiveness. Stripped a number of panels ready for further repairs including a bonnet, removed the inner panel and it's easy to see the reason for them rusting out - absolutely no protec...

Clan hasn't turned a wheel since the last Forrestburn Track Night so with an hour to go before I was due to leave I put fuel in, check the oil/water and tyre pressure. Re: What did you do to your Imp today?

I've a number of new panels that unfortunately have some surface rust, I've used Bilt Hamber Deox rust remover with great success but it would be prohibitively expensive to buy the quantity needed for my new tank so after a bit of internet research decided to give citric acid a go which allegedly is...

That plate looks pretty rough, I can lend you a better one to try before modifying too far and see if that's part of the problem.

Slightly confused with the last post but it has been a long day, just back from Irish Experience.

If the pic of the latch is the new fitting, that is the correct way, if it was fitted otherwise it was wrong before.

Though might be pricey to post as I’m in S Ireland. Steve Will look out the drivers side green one and see what its like but won't be till Tuesday. ...

They are around but not cheap, mainly squirrelled away and difficult getting people to part with them - rightly so.

Makes restorations much easier and better quality.

Just need a Drivers side complete side for a Van and we have the complete set. Anyone willing to help out :?:
