82 BHP at wheels ? that would be approx 96 bhp flywheel (i seem to remember 17% transmission loss, do not know if this is to the wheels or just the box) brake shoes slightly dragging, tyre pressures, air temp and pressure so you could have 100bhp flywheel, to get more you do need a pretty special en...

Use proper locking washers these keep everything tight on world rally cars, no loctite on calliper bolts as you need to swap the callipers in service during a rally.

Fantastic engineering going on there, some hard won advice for you, insulate the brake lines and rad pipes to prevent any heat transfer to brake fluid in the pipe keep the heat from rad away from fuel tank and lines. i would also recommend higher tensile strength bolts for the hubs go from 8.8 to 10...

on thing that can make the clutch pad sit at angle is the cover is not squarely clamped to the flywheel, did you counter sink the holes in the flywheel for the cover ? di you do the same to the cover holes on the flywheel side of it, a small burr here will make the cover twist slightly. I would take...

the flywheel is newly made, so with out questioning any persons skills is it on the crank square? Is it correctly made check with a DTi. hard to measure camber without skid plates for the front tyres, to see the effect of camber change open the door stand on the cill whilst looking at top of tyre as you step up you will see the change if you then get someone to roll the car forwards you will see more change as the sidewall of the tyr...

Re: A Californian drying out in South Africa

you will find it will handle better with 1/4 deg neg camber static i.e. two people in car, the camber increases as the wishbone rises. if you start with too much camber you will get more as you brake and the front end dips and end up with more camber than the required amount to combat the tyre roll ...
