Re: TJJ882F Mk II Imp

Paul search 'mirka 70x420' on eBay. Nicely made and the abranet pads work very well and don't require extraction, simply pull off from Velcro and reattach. Thousands of holes get rid of the dust and cuts down massively on clogging :)

Edit only if you want to do it manually not by air power :P

Don't bother shortening the floor pan, the mx5 has a PPF (power plant frame) Remove the shell (leaving the diff connected to the engine/box with all suspension in place, the get the frame shortened and the prop shortened at the same time. Re: Sunbeam Stiletto with a Kawaski Engine.

Why don't you put the engine out the back like the original imp engine and drive a differential straight off the bike engine. It was done a while ago, it means you can keep the stock suspension (otherwise if you go mid mount then you will need to change it) and only removal of the parcel shelf is ne...

Re: GER398E - Gerri: She's moving, again!

Best thing about 40's is you can buy most of the parts (excluding solex's) which you can't do with 28/36's, the throttle linkage is much easier to sort out as I found to. Once you get the addiction to driving your car you'll want it to be quicker so why not go for the best carbs you can afford at th...

Re: GER398E - Gerri: She's moving, again!

Well I really wanted to use bike carbs, like the way they work and I'm sure they could be that little bit better than 40's. however since owning an engine with 40's I recently got some twin 40 carbs again (that will be referbed) and will use those (even though I've got some bike carbs in the shed!) ...
