Re: UML 264M - Where is it now?

DVLA list it as taxed till the first of june 2009 so i would guess its on the road. Is that defo the case? My SORNed Sunbeam gives the same info as this car, `sorn not due`, and gives the liability date, as in liable for taxing, or SORN. It might say the same for a vehicle that`s taxed, but it does...

Re: The 75 Imp

Other side`s the same, only less corrosion. Loads of stupid little speckles of rust behind rear crossmember and down the insides of the rear quarter panels, mostly under the 3 way bleed junction, but nothing anywhere near serious. It should all come off with minimal hassle. It looks quite a mess in ...

75 Imp. To the paintshop...

I can now edit photos so thought I`d send this one of my latest Imp. Bought around October last year, had been garaged since 79, and after having all braking system replaced with all new parts, and a set of new hoses, was MoTd for the first time in 30 years. I`ve had my share of minor problems with ...

Re: KLJ 54P

Cant see from the photos but has it an HRW, an Alternator and fuse box? I expect it has, but the lack of factory door mirrors (s/steel both sides)on a 1975/6 Reg car is puzzling me along with the fact a De Luxe has door pockets. Steve Mine is a 75 deluxe on an N plate and has all that also. I like ...

I`ll speak to her about it again, she`s 81 now but still got her memory :) I think it was bought from Woolworths (remember them?!) if I remember her story right, can`t imagine them being a freebie, but maybe from the more upmarket Rootes dealerships?

Dave,
I`ve got this :D My Mum bought it just after getting her first Imp-before my time-it`s all complete surprisingly. The full company name is Cowan DeGroot. I`m not a big board game fan, but I give it a go from time to time!

My latest Imp is also a 75 Deluxe. Probably the previous owner was so Imp-daft that he called his house after it`s place of manufacture? All the best with it mate.

Your hood ornament

Colin, I`d hang onto the hood ornament if I was you, it`s from a 1955 Farina bodied Rambler Custom. If you know your yankee motors, it was also found on one ( I think ) Nash, possibly a 1956 Ambassador. Pretty damn rare even in poor condition. In really nice condition this one looks amazing. If you ...
