I got mine with a T-shirt wrapped around it, and bubble wrap! In perfect condition. 8)

Incidentally, can`t help wondering if any dyslexic non-Imp types will think the shirt is for an Anti-Viagra campaign-`Go Limp @ 50`.....

Re: Noddys Natterings , New Allycats , Centre caps done.

Most mass-produced vehicles are built out of square, will go unnoticed until the body is put under the microscope and scrutinised many years later. The issue won't always show in the same area ether. Here it's a discrepancy at opposing wheelarches, on a different make the windscreen apertures won't ...

Sherborne July 2013

Invited arrived today for The Imp Club stand at Sherborne Castle July 21st. I have requested that the 50th anniversary of the Imp be included in their advertising. Would be good if we could have record numbers this year, and some workable theme ideas? I remember too well that after arranging it agai...

I`ve got a HRW switch there on mine. The switches underneath; one should be for the heater blower if you have one. The others could be for extra lights that the car once had maybe? Are you leaving the stripes on?

Re: VWX 317L - Hilda - Lesley's Imp Paintshop Photos

Loads of heat will do it. I had a go at mine not so long ago to replace a kingpin. I took the whole stub out and replaced it with a previously rebuilt one.
It`s in a place that shouldn`t be getting any oil on it, but gets a load of other crud instead, so it`s not usually easy without heat.

Grip tape to stop feet slipping whilst entering or exiting the car. Like the stuff used on exterior staircases and some skateboards.
Has an almost abrasive finish Mike? There are other types however. I' d wager it isn't just going on the sills though.

The design of ethafoam makes water just run off like on a teflon pan. Its got some sort of a film coating. The lenses and light units themselves don't help not having drain holes. Mind you they are better then p6 rovers front and back they rot out in no time. Thats why nos cost a bomb!

There's better foam you can use Paul. That sort holds moisture between itself and the bodywork. And causes the bulb holders and the inside to get crusty cos the water gets held inside as well. Ethafoam is non absorbent and comes in various colours and thickness.
