Re: HSCC 2018 - Another Imp Champion
Congratulations and hats-off to AO. 8) Haven't been following Imp racing recently so don't know the details. Hopefully there will be a comprehensive write-up within Impressions so we can all catch-up on his achievement. Members will be keen to know more about the car, driver and how the series was w...

Re: Barbon hillclimb 2018
Hey! That looks like the dog is running through the heather on Tan Hill ...just up the road from Richmond where I live ...it's been a regular cycling route for me (us/club) for the past 30 years or so ..my Clan has never been up there before ..amazingly. Must fix that when the engine's back in. Eric...

Fantastic changes in direction.
Learning the cones under pressure must have been more than half the battle!
Nightmare!
Top skills on display in that video, Mike.

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
Nice one Stuart. You're using quite short gears and by the sounds of it (I can't see your rev counter) you didn't rev so high in 2nd so you could get into 3rd gear early for paddock bend. Molehill negotiation was very sweet with smooth braking and into 2nd gear without upsetting the car (this is som...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
OK Eric I'm still a bit unsure...sooooooooo if I went to a meeting in the Clan with full glass and interior but slight changes like: carpets but minimal sound proofing heater but not in the standard place...say I moved it up front for weight redistribution and piped in the hot air door cards, rear b...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
I assume you could still turn-up in a road Clan or whatever and compete without a roll cage ...but you'd be up against all road comers...and have no chance of winning but still have fun losing?

Yep, and I bet Scott Clement was using the same sport profile high lift cam (from Dennis Allt) he used at the IMP08 track day!
Very quick out of the corners!
No R series cam required!

Tis a pity you can't do both... ie run the Imp for a season while you're building the Avenger. And/or visa versa. They would make great stable mates and reminds me of a CCC article (IIRC) in the seventies featuring a works Avenger and Imp from Chrysler Comps dept. I wrote off a couple Avengers in th...

Thanks for this Si....it pays to be connected...obviously I'm not. There's plenty of events here afterall! Tockwith airfield is definitely do-able (30th September) And the Elvington Sprint in June is worth a viewing (obviously can't enter that). And Hartlepool is possible - have to fit locking wheel...

Doesn't seem to happen in North Yorkshire... ..plenty of rallies maybe, but a totally differen't level of preparation is needed for that.. Si If I still lived in Winchester I'd be there at every event you entered. And I know what would happen next.....I'd be forced to strip the Clan to not...

Now I'm interested in the 5 finishers above you - what were they driving? Main reason wanting to know is that my Lotus recently was challenged by an 06 plate 280-odd bhp Boxster S on a track day at Croft and he found it impossible to shake off my meager 200 bhp (OK it is a bit lighter than the Boxst...
