Re: 4 x special saloon imps Mallory Park 20th July

If anyone else out there has a special saloon imp that they don't want to drive, David Heale was there with his helmet and overalls ready just incase.

Re: 4 x special saloon imps Mallory Park 20th July

Frank, just google CSCC revival at Mallory Park, there will be 3 modsports/special saloon races and a group 1 touring car race, all on Sunday. Not seen an entry list yet but a certain Mr Jones will be having a go.

Re: Historic Touring Cars 2013

Thanks Andy, Had mixed feelings about Thruxton, I thought it was going to be a boring high speed procession by the Yank tanks like the super touring was on saturday. Then, when the Imp gearbox failed on the way to scrutineering and we were faced with a very cold all night rebuild I was tempted to su...

Re: Anglesey circuit-Aberffraw 3/3/13

Are you thinking of doing this again Andy? This event is not the mad wacky races that it used to be, you must have a full cage with door bars, external cut off switch and hand held extinguisher as minimum, and slicks are banned. I shared an 875 sport (CPE 3H where is it now?) with my brother in a ra...

Re: Hillclimb roadgoing class

Yes you can, the HSA class is for road going modfied cars, you can do whatever you want unless the regs say otherwise as long as it is road legal, has tax and Mot and on list 1a tyres. Some other clubs run classes for standard production cars which only allow safety mods.

The black and white photos look cool mate, they look like they were taken in the sixties. Like the video, you really captured the atmosphere of the day, reminded me of the Steve McQueen LeMans opening scenes and Senna. Well done mate!

Sorry, my mistake,Win Percy was paralised from the waste down in a gardening accident in 2003, he is still alive and still great.

Many years ago I went to watch the Autocross revival meeting at Thoresby Park where the late great Win Percy was due to guest drive Peter Harper's special car, now Win was a big lad and a tight fit in the car and during his first practice run stretched his right leg and pushed the throttle pedal so ...

Re: Imp takes FTD at Prescott

Imps are rather good at hillclimbs in the rain, it reminds me of the day when the late David Stanbridge won the Ginetta class at shelsley walsh in his G15 on slicks, on studying the results we realised that he posted the fasted non single seater time of the day and I was second, its all about tracti...
