Re: Rotor Arm Breakages

Contacted Mike and he was very helpful and purchased a new cap to his design and rotor arm with leads to suit. After a two day sprint with PB time the cap and rotor are totoally unmarked. SUCCESS. Highly recommend Mike to anyone.

Rotor Arm Breakages

I have had two rotor arms break on me. The first was an original and the second was one of the famed Red Rotor arms. Both broke at the same place, the little plastic woodrfof key part on the internal fitment hole. This is a race engine and although the part is inexpensive, the failure to finish is. ...

Re: Imps on Film

All thanks should go to Clark Dawson/Mark Barlow and Scott Fanning/Hugh Liddle for their epic journeys in Imps to Monte Carlo in the middle of winter to commemorate the Monte Carlo Rallye Historique. They raised the profile of the Imp to the extent that film makers wanted to make a montage of Imps a...

Re: Spaceframe Imps

Enjoying all this spaceframe history but really want some on mine. It is the Maguire Imp No 1 and the last owner was Keith Scott, who I think, went to a great deal of trouble tracing its ownership from day one. Unfortunately the mobile number I have been given is now discontinued, can any one help m...

Re: Dream Spaceframe build

The spaceframe I was thinking of was for sprints and hill climbs only and not necessarily going for class wins, just the thrill of competing again as the road going Clan seems to have been vetoed out of contention. So cheap and cheerful.

Dream Spaceframe build

If you were to build a spaceframe Imp from scratch what spec/equipment would you use? I have a coupe frame in mind with nothing existing but the frame which was in use in the 70s I think, would the tubes be the correct spec for the MSA Blue Book now? It would have a BMW engine as the Imp engine is n...
