Hey Dom,

If you swap out the front seats for something else, please can I have first dibs on them - they are Pele's original fronts, and I really shouldn't have let them go.

Thanks fella

Sounds good - I doubt I'll be partaking though, as I don't want to break the car now I've just got it working again!!

Just a question - why didn't you use the airfield next door to the event? Vickie is doing a track day there on Friday (Aerial Atom).

I have one here (at work) and it is very nice - I may end up buying it for my own collection, as I believe they are all sold out now and this one has to go back to the distributor once the magazine has finished with it. all early cars they were fixed to the support you have there with a single stud/nut. TBH, I'd just proceed as normal - MOT the car (it won't be MOT exempt due to the mods) and insure it, and drive it. If anyone asks for an engineers report go down that route, but otherwise just continue as before.

If anyone asks, just say that it has had a front rad for more than 30 years. ;-)

Thing is... some Imps have had big holes for front rads since the late 1960s. If you look carefully in that picture you can see that the body casting isn't the same (or even an adaptation) - the sill length is different, as is the projection in front of the front wheels. Plus the plastic base is inboard of the sills - the Vanguards base encompasses the sills and lower valence...

Its a great model. We are trying to work out the source of it - Atlas don't own their own dies, so they use existing toolings/castings for their own colourways. Chris, On my car, the clips came off with the trim so when I reinstalled it, I applied a thick layer of waxoyl over the seam and then another into the trim and then clipped it back on.
