A vehicle that has been substantially changed within the previous 30 years will have to be submitted for annual MoT testing. Whether a substantially changed vehicle requires re-registration is a separate process. That's the wording ,in the guidance , now I know there's bits about historic in period...

With the rear discs , why not make them two piece? , you can make a mounting piece then bolt together similar to a motorcycle . Possibly even recycle /use the centre of a drum turned down?

the rear panel hides the rad pipes, and I also wanted some reasonable storage space, its starting to looklike a car at long last, trouble now I'm getting fussy and redoing jobs!!!!

Looks like its winking :wink: or maybe its an alligator looking out thru one eye? personally not keen on the shape but just my opinion, I'd like to try lowering the overall height of the pod, think the old construction and use regs had a reg regarding reflector area though.

Post up pics of the brackets, the arms can be modded by a competant welder , sure someone on here will have the Millington book page that shows mods to the swing arms, however replacement arms have been made by some Forum users so maybe they would let you see the drawings nd you could get a set made...

No I'm going for single colour Ford Radiant Red all over although engine cover may end up black finally. I used gravitex on the low part after looking at various Clans and seeing the stone chips on the lower regions. I think the two tone looks good on Irish Clans with the lower front light pods but ...

when I did the headlamp mod a few years back i just used a large hole saw and you end up with neat edges and easy access and a lot easier to cut.neat trick with the wiring though
