a far cry from the 1990s there at Castle Combe when the Special saloon Imps were doing so well , Brian Cutting 4 times Special GT champion and Earling jensen averaging 99 mph in the races passing 400 bhp V8 rover SD1 , Metro 6R4's and many more cars 3 times the power , he did win one race outright ....

a good tip when trying to remove loctite nuts/bolts , HEAT , if it is possible to heat with a gas torch , not overy hot maybe 200 or 300 C ...this will melt the loctite and enable you to undo with very little effort . Imp009

It is time one of the fabricators of Imp competition/combined manifolds spent their time more usefuly producing their art in stainless steel , price isnt a problem , there is no way £850 can be justified for a mild steel one which for me rots in 4 years .... but people do pay those kinds of price . ...

i just use a standard stainless 90 degree pipe from demon tweeks about £20 , attach the far end of the silencer to a bracket hanging from the water pump .
