Re: Spaceframe Imps

Mike

I'm fairly sure Gary Prebble still owns the car, I've got a customer who saw it in his barn recently
It's still as it was after the crash and would need a major amount of work to sort it out. I think it
was converted to run a 1300cc talbot engine built by Ray Payne.

Re: Spaceframe Imps

Bit of a negative attitude Rob We've done all apart from Oulten Park and had a great time with our Imp. Ok I admit the car is a bit under powerd against a lot of the others running BDG's etc but theres always been a good race to be had. Not many cars have the corner speed we have its just down the s...

Re: CSCC Silverstone 26 May 2012 Special Saloons - pic heavy

We had a great day on Monday, The Imp certainly drew a lot of interest with many people commenting on the good old days of the castle combe special saloon championship. We just need a few more smaller capacity cars out to race against. Martin is certainly getting to grips with the car and his input ...

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Come in number three your time is

I've considerd putting restrictors in the feed holes to the outer mains, I'd bet a 25% restriction would be fine. In turn it should increase the flow to the centre bearing. I also think its possible to drill a hole from the radial groove straight into the main oil gallary giving a slightly better pa...

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Come in number three your time is

Seems everyone has their own ideas on sumps, baffels etc. Its all being tried before but it still appears Imps suffer from big end bearing faliure. I've even got an engine on a dry sump setup that lost no3 bearing last year.I think Pete has also a lost big end in his dry sump setup. David Heale is u...

Re: Turbo Davrian

Hello Martin Your Davrian would be well suited to the new CSCC championship You can use modern fuel injection and fit a dry sump if you wanted You could run a turbo as long as a pre 93 ecu is used, not sure what class that would put you in though. Could also be a bit fragile in race trim. I spoke to...

Hello Mike

I've got David Leaver's old chassis that I was going to restore, but I've now
bought Brian Harrington's black spaceframe featured on this thread. That was
built using the Davids spaceframe as a template

Hopefully see you at a few CSCC revival championship rounds this year
