Re: Race Preparation
Pretty certain Stuart @ Rodwell could be the person for your engine/mechanicals and I've emailed someone about the body to see who they used on their old car which was pretty much to that type of spec. Trouble is a lot of the Imp race cars in the UK are built to HSCC spec, which isn't quite the same...

Mike Parkes led the development of the Stratos, he was killed in one.
Yes some good photo's really like the 5 Turbo, Fiat 131 and Alpine Renault. Knew it was a road accident, didn't realise it was in a Stratos.

Historic Lombard event
This was posted on UHR from a couple of weekends ago at Wiscombe. No Imp's in the pictures but a fair few other Rootes and Talbot cars were there and show the types of cars that used to be rallied when the WRC rally round wasn't always based in Wales.I followed a few of these rallies in the 80's, es...

Re: Barbon hillclimb 2018
Thought the Clan was Ernie's one and pretty sure that's the one that was on E bay recently.
Upside down in a river, was that on a rally or just out for drive?

Re: Barbon hillclimb 2018
Eric's Imp and the Chevette HSR are beauts. ..and as for the SS pipes ...work of A R T! What they on ..surely not the HSR or is it the mini? Clan004 Think the pipes are on a single seater, looking at the suspension pick up points in the pictures. Eric's car is really good and has plenty of great de...

Re: Barbon hillclimb 2018
Yes it does.
Is that the Clan that you've worked on or is that the one that was on ebay recently?
Not quite sure what class the dog would be entered in though?

Re: Test of race car
Hello Mike,
Cheers for that info, see what the weathers like tomorrow as Goodwood's just up the road(motorsport distance wise) and some CSCC including Classic K are at Thruxton next week while Swinging 60's are at Brands that day. Wouldn't have thought his car is Classic K regs though.

Re: Test of race car
Hi Mike
Second what Col says, a write up would be very good.
Also do you know what series Simon is going to race the car in or where the track days are going to be?

Re: What happens if the bodywork comes loose at Goodwood!
Hi Roy, I wondered if the suspension had something to do with it, especially as he'd run that wheel on the grass when he'd got a bit out of shape early in the run. The other thing I thought odd was the marshal pointing at the small fire but nobody put it out, especially with all the straw bales pret...

Re: Cadwell May 2018 support
Hi Col, cheers for letting me know. I'll give you a call this week about some other stuff. Not sure if I'm going to Lydden at the weekend as I've worked four of the last seven Sundays on a ship in Portsmouth and just waiting to find out if we are finishing some stuff this coming week or in three wee...

He could enter it in the CTCC race meeting at Lydden on the 8th July. Hello Rob, do you know when the times for the race meet on the 8th will be published? As we hope to travel up from Hants on the day and just wondered on practice and race times for the race you and Colin are running in on that da...

Oddicombe hillclimb
Finally found some footage of my first hillclimb Imp at a ASWMC event in 1986(can't believe it was that long ago). bl***y awful quality film and music. Oddicombe near Torquay was the bumpiest hill in the ASWMC championship you most probably spent 15% to 25% flying between bumps but it was great fun ...
