Anyone ever notice that early L717 lenses have two slots a third of the way up inside . These are for alloy reflectors . Moose, I did not get the bedding in instructions with my Mintex special linings for the rear drums, they worked great with the front discs to start but have now lost that performance. I think you advised someone to dress them off with 60 grit paper then do the 60 mph braking as recomended. My probl...

The fix on that one was new seals, new bearings and as the faces on the impeller where the carbon seal sits were worn or undercut and could not be turned on a lathe to clean them up anymore, I fitted a pair of stainless 316 grade washers to the impeller to carbon faces. So far so good but check my picture, there are two shafts, the first one is the new one, the engineer who fitted the shaft never bothered to clean off the faces on the impellor, it will work like a file on the new seal, it may bed in, then again it may not. I must take offence at you calling this p...

Always thought that Knurling was something very different to Splining, and that the hub end of the studs are in fact Splined... :roll: You are quite right , knurling is done on a lathe in the same way that you would turn a piece of metal , in stead of a turning tool you have a tool with a hardened ...

Sold all my stock to Graham Anderson and he hasn't come back for more yet ,so assume he still has a few left .
Have pointed customers of my fuel filters and washer jets in his direction over the last week.
