Re: Affordable Stage Rallies. The future?

On a related note there has been a good series in the last couple of months of Practical Performance Car on building a rally car for less than £1000 from one of the Imp's French successors. Admittedly this is intended for endurance rallying (which is another good low cost alternative to stage events...

Re: Affordable Stage Rallies. The future?

I'm inclined to agree with Rod, but it's a little difficult to see what practical steps could be taken to drive the cost down. I too would love the return to 'local' farm/quarry multi venue rallies, but two things count against these and were contributory factors in their demise in the first place. ...

Re: British Historic Rally Championship - 2013 Season

Excellent Neil, sounds like a great way to spend your birthday! Look forward to seeing you there. Hopefully we'll have the same fantastic weather that we had last year! It was a pleasure to be servicing, but if its snowy like it is here today, then I'm pleased that we will be competing and not servi...

Re: Crash Hat question

Well worth taking a visit to one of the motorsport superstores and trying on a few different brands and sizes.

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Rebuild time again

There are a number of motorsport outlets at Silverstone itself that should be open at least tomorrow morning and stock such a thing. Trident Motorsport and GPR are two that ring a bell. Also there used to be a motorsport plumbing expert nearby. I think he traded under the name NBM Woolford. He was a...

Re: HRCR - Neath Valley Stages

Rod And guess who has taken up rallying again at 63? Nigel And he's not at all bad for an old dog, I can testify from the other seat! ;-) A bit rusty, but nothing a bit of match practice won't sort and time in the car! Might give me the opportunity to get up-to-speed on the notes too! The reason th...
