Re: Twin Dellorto Dilemma: flat spot

Hi,

These settings worked perfectly for me:

Chokes 32mm
Emulsion Tubes 77772.5
Main Jets 132
Air Correctors 200
Pump Jets 40
Idle Jets 7644.52 (might need next size up)

On a 998, bvh, R17 etc.

Brilliant race. What a fabulous engine. I didn't think 1200s were supposed to rev like that!

Re: Oil Filter for comps

Hi,

It's probably best to convert to a spin-on filter and use a Volvo 340 oil filter. Superb quality and flow. I'll find out the part number and post again.

Very sad. He was a supremely quick driver ...but didn't venture south very often. He'd have been better known otherwise.

Hi Again,

Meant to say that wheels look great! Are they Image wheels? What tyre size are you running?

Hope things went well at Loton. Hope to join you when I get the Davrian finished!!

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N

Hi,

Does anyone have any more info on this series? Sounds promising. I've left a message with the HRCR but haven't heard back yet.

Thanks,

NEC Classic

Hi, Just a quick post to say how impressed I was with this year's Imp Club stand at the NEC Classic. Absolutely stunning and the standard of the cars was incredible. I wasn't able to spend as much time as I'd have liked to, getting a good look at the cars, but I did manage to squeeze (just) into Dav...

NEC Classic

Hi,

Just a brief reminder that the NEC Classic is on from November 11th-13th. This year's show promises to be better than ever and there'll be a healthy Imp Club and Rootes presence.

Hi all, I totally agree. Although I could only make the Sunday, what an awesome event it was. Superbly organised and mega-friendly (top job Graham and team). Great to catch up with people and thanks to all those who bought books etc. The standard of the cars is fantastic...can't wait to see the phot...

Davrian National Longleat

Hi, Just to let you know that the annual Davrian get-together is this Saturday, at Longleat Hillclimb. A good turnout of road and competition Davrians is expected. Some will be competing on the day. Why not pop along? In 1995, an all-Davrian class was run for the first time at the Longleat Hillclimb...

Hi Doris, Peter & Jonathan, To our horror we read the letter which was placed over the corner of the photo from Automotive Products sent to Des O’Dell. It stated that he “mastered the success” of the Bevan IMP and his “fine hand” was clearly behind this great achievement. I agree!!! I hope that I l...

Bevan Imp

Hi,

You wouldn't be allowed to run Triumph suspension today and, although it definitely worked, it wasn't as effective as the Imp set-up. The Triumph bits were used on the club Imp and not the British Championship Car(s).

Full info and pics in my Bevan book if you're interested!!!!!!

Hi,

Great looking car!

I'm interested in the Sparco steering wheel as I fancy one on my Davrian. Is it a standard Imp column and which adaptor did you use?

Thanks,

Bevan Imp

Hi,

I have just written the book on the Bevan Imp (192 pages & 200 illustrations) and there is an explanation on the front suspension and why it was chosen and then repplaced.
