Re: WICKED WELSH WEEKEND 2019 ANNOUNCEMENT

This was the 20th anniversary event and it was fitting that after a couple of years away, the Gurner's attended - Neil and Tina started all of this 20 years ago. They had a great time on the runs, popping up at various locations taking lots of photos, so hopefully some will end up here and in Impres...

Removed head again today, found the problem, refitting tomorrow - many thanks to Peter Hurst and Malcolm Anderson for advice and interpreting so...

Re: Imp National 2019

We had a great time despite Hilda's maladies - which continued on Monday. She was fine on the runs, it seems she just doesn't like driving to and from National ! Monday morning revealed oily water in the header tank, so another job to be done. The new fuel pump worked well on the Saturday and Sunday...

We arrived home mid afternoon - Lesley drove Hilda all of the way avoiding motorways except for Severn Bridge - took a bit longer but was very relaxed and enjoyable. We had a great time at the event - many thanks to James & Jason. Some great runs, great views/scenery etc. Weather was great except Su...

Well spotted Andy - I didn't see it as I was planning to arrive from the other direction. So they must have been filming when we were there last year - wonder if they managed to film anyone

Great weekend, great runs. I even found a different route back from Kirkcudbright which was immense! The run home was uneventful apart from the tow car telling me I had a flat tyre, which was a lie  Baz Check your trailer .. when we went to Ireland 2015 our Beemer flashed up a run flat warnin...

Re: Imp Ecosse 2019

We had a great weekend.. Many thanks to everyone for making it such a success. Hilda ran great all weekend, even with 4 up on Sunday. It was an uneventful drive home, but the BMW averaged 42mpg with Hilda on the trailer - must have been all down hill! Hope everyone else got home OK.

It was brand new when we restored her 2012-13 and is still clean and shiny. Of course - it may never have been adjusted properly in the first place (it's never been great).

Re: What did you do to your Imp today?

Saturday I changed the coolant as I had to replace the temp sender. New one is working - so that is good. I also adjusted the Denso alternator bracketry as it looks to be running slightly out of line with the pump and crank pulleys. We've been having trouble with the hand brake for ages and no matte...

Re: What did you do to your Imp today?

Some of these modern cars that turn the DRLs off when cornering or indicating just come across as plain confusing IMO. What I find dangerous is the number of cars that have permanent DRLs but the drivers never turn on proper lights at night .. I've seen loads of cars locally with front lights and n...

Following a brake test at a local garage - result = no rear near side brake effect - replaced leaking cylinder and brake shoes that were dripping with brake fluid (they were new last year, so less than 1000 miles !). Did the off side too just to keep same brake shoe quality across the axle. Hand bra...
