WICKED WELSH WEEKEND 2019_Camping update

HI All, Just to say that, because we haven't had sufficient advance pitch bookings to nearly fill Ernie's Field this year, the campsite has now opened up bookings to the general public. If you intend to camp at WWW and have not booked already I would very much recommend that you do so as soon as pos...

Great Drive-it-Day outing with various members of the South & West Wales a/c in 5 Imps. Started near Usk, lunched in Chepstow, looped round into the Forest of Dean and back via Tintern, onto Caldicot Castle, then back to see the amphitheatre in Caerleon. Didn't see that many other classic cars on th...

Re: What did you do to your Imp today?

I've always rated the Haynes manuals very highly. For the inexperienced DIY mechanic they are, in my opinion, a much better bet than the official workshop manual although, I suspect, many of us have acquired both over the years. Yes - there is the odd problem but the official workshop manual isn't a...

Re: Nods news , Its normal .

Apologies to Dave/Noddy for continuing the MOT/No MOT discussion here. I think that part of the justification for saying that cars older than 40 years don't need an MOT any longer was that many MOT testers & garages are just not capable of carrying out a proper MOT on older cars because the testers ...

Way back in the early 70's I fitted a reversing light switch to Suzy using a roller microswitch (fixed to the inside of the 'gear change tunnel' using an aluminium bracket) acting on a small strip of aluminium epoxied onto the gear change control rod (i.e. the long rod between the gear change lever ...

Re: Nods news , No go

The reason the initial current draw reading drops (0.066 mA to 0.001 mA) is almost certainly because you are charging a small capacitor somewhere in the radio circuit - nothing to worry about. The actual continuous current draw figure is probably somewhere below 0.001 mA but the digital meter won't ...

Although it is not an essential spare (like clutches, water pumps, steering racks, etc., which surely must be first priority) how about some RG355 tools?
