Re: The start of the journey

Alam, What is the main base colour you are planning for Mary ? It is true that the classic Coopers and the Cooper 'S's did have different colour roofs, but the up market conversions that feature two tones bring the colour break down to the 'waist line' below the windows and include all of the A, B &...

Imp weights - partial

Guys, This may seem a little random, but I am trying this here first as corner weights may be more known. I am looking to find out (in the absence of my own Imp, what the down force of a road spec'd Imp would be on the front end only. I am planning to build a 'tow unit' for the want of a better term...

Re: Front door pocket trims

I do recall seeing a lid/panel that ran the full length of the door pocket, in effect making it like an arm rest, but there hasnt been front pocket versions of the one you saw on ebay, largely because the finished edge of the door pocket is rolled over unlike the back one which is not so.

The funny thing is that having re read the thread, I was initially puzzled by the time lines, but then I realised that the topic came up on Facebook fairly recently. It was a shame that so much time was expended in bodging it, and mindful of the work I am having done by C.A. Restoration and Fabricat...

Yes,

This is the one that was at a National Weekend, mid 90's I think, possibly 95/96 when it was running Super exterior trim and Cosmic alloys.

I will try and get a scan of the picture in my photo album tomorrow

Hillclimbing Imp at Race Retro

Has anyone out there got any up-close & personal photos of the exhaust box arrangement on the hillclimbing imp please ?

I found it an interesting take on the issue of protecting the exhaust, but I got sidetracked and didnt get to take any photos.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Mike, Pete and myself travelled up today (Sunday) and the Club stand was in my totally unbiased view the best in a number of very important ways, and ways that the other clubs, organisations and stands should take note of. Tom, I think that was the one that was originally issued as part of the set centred around a car transporter - I believe that it may have been released as a sell off of stock some time later. They were also seen with a mixture of parts, the 'sunbeam' wheels for example instead of the plain design fo...

DB, Quite apart from any cutting that you may need to drop the bike engine into the shell, you are going to need some serious amounts of weight loss to make things fly and not knock out the bike engine in minutes few. My BMW bike motor puts out Sport-sized power and gets me to 60 in little over the ...

I have admittedly been out of the club loop for a while, but the aim of next year's National seems to be my main target. Next years' National is the big one, the half century and definitely the real big, 'one to be at' event. I have heard that it is destined to be up north, probably Scotland, possib...

NFE 443P is a late factory build Caledonian - well the rolling shell of one.

I sold it on for resto to a member in Lytham St Ann's but have heard that it has been sold on since.

Is it still owned inside the Imp Club, does someone on line now have it ?

If you are going for a low n wide route (rather like an Imp version of the famous Ford Transit Supervans of the 60's & 70's) how about a chop to drop the centre of gravity. 1-2 inches out of the below the gutter height and drop the 'extension' section that gives the Husky its 'top hat' look for anot...
