Re: Geoffrey the Stiletto - Hartwell Installed!

Cheers fellas. It is good to see space on the shelves and empty boxes!

Colin Bedding just got back from tour of Europe and is sadly moving out of the area. Not sure who else will be representing Imp Club USA ;)

See you guys in a few weeks.

Re: Geoffrey the Stiletto - Hartwell Installed!

A good weekend of Imping. On Saturday I booked camping for my first trip to National. Today I finally got the Hartwell into the Stiletto. Wiring is almost done, just got to locate electric fuel pump and a few other bits and pieces. Big thanks to Mke Hammonds for helping with the activities. Carbs ne...

Its the same profile as the stainless trim that runs just below window level across the door rear wing and around the bottom of the vinyl roof on the rear pillar on the Stiletto, rectangular section, it is not the half round profile as the waist line on the early IMPs. Its a B301 series Stiletto it should have stainless strips along the top edges of the sills, those arent fitted or have got lost, so you might want to track that down, all the correct trim isnt actually present as it stands in the photo shown. A few updates. The Colin Bedding Imp is now equipped with a 998cc, twin 40 DCOE, R20 set-up. Colin has added an across the back exhaust as well. It sounds fabulous. image.jpg Still putting pieces together on electric water pump set-up and finding suitable air filter but it sounds fantastic. We had a...

Re: A Californinan drying out in South Africa

Roy,
I just wanted to say how helpful your detailed posts and clear pictures are.

I was looking for a pic of the wiper motor layout yesterday and found just what I needed in your CKD blog.

It is a shame that shipping is cost prohibitive on big items.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

We hoped to take two Imps to local Brit car show this year but ran out of time. Colin put the engine back together with newly refettled head. It starts, runs and gives better power than before but still low on oil pressure at hot idle (25psi). Featured car was the Sunbeam Tiger but fortunately they ...
