Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Rebuild time again

We managed to get an oil cooler at Silverstone, thanks for the earlier advice. However Nick now thinks the head maybe porous... He's fitting last bits and will start her up in the morning as we need to eat now. Fingers crossed as he re-torqued the head.
Thanks Chris for finding your coolers.

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Rebuild time again

Ok… it’s now time to panic! Nick has discovered a hole in the oil cooler, (I’ll let him explain how it got there) Does anyone out there who is coming to Silverstone have one lying around at all?? Nick has currently nipped around to see if Mark has one, but if not he’ll not be racing on Sunday :( Yo...

I'll stop now in case I bore you all silly with sidecars.
No chance of that with me as I rode bikes, long before I even considered driving a car. The Mallory Park sidecar meeting is one not to be missed :!: - Love it :D

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Come in number three your time is

Personally - I think the big end let go because it knew Nick hadn't painted PTO on the underside so it saved him the embarrassment of flipping with no instructions... Love ya really honey! x

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Come in number three your time is

Having said that, I've witnessed a bottle part company from its mount in a rally car that came second best to a tree stump as it landed...backwards...at around 100mph The force was sufficient to break the co-driver's grp seat in half I too remember that day hubby darling, as we were backing at spee...

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Tiring day

First outing and sleeping in t'truck aborted as heavy rain and a fibreglass roof won't mix when attempting to zed... (From August 2010!!) Total rubbish husband of mine... (Mwah, love ya loads) Having lived in a mobile home with a metal roof, steady rain on roof is quite soothing and acts like a lul...

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - Race car project purchased!

There is, however, a mild pong of horse...even after jet-washing the floor! There is nothing wrong with a mild horsey smell in the slightest, t'was after all the buying of said truck at a stables that made me take up equestrianism again :) which has made me a very happy wife  . I should also ...

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - In the beginning

Back t'truck, everything that should work does, including the indicators that conked out when the LH sidelight fuse blew (?) despite them having their own fuse...A thorough check of the wiring diagram needed methinks. Hmmmm.... again the younger, less experienced male of the species takes the credi...

Re: Meltdown Motorsport - In the beginning

I would like to point out that it was his wifely wench that found the aforementioned Truck - I thought a box with hydraulic tailgate could be a bonus!! 8) Also, might be required to be a horsebox, briefly, occasionally, as I am now horse riding again after a 31 year absence from the 'Sport of Kings...
