Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
Cheers Stuart, good weekend wasn't it. Graham (Voodoo on here) and I had a great tussle all weekend, and i'm not sure where that last time came from - but i'll take it. Chris With your anticipated mods, there will be only one class for you in Hillclimbs and Sprints, and that's Sports Libre. This is ...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
Mark The HSA classes are scored independent of the class the car is run on the day, but - our championship regs were passed back to us last year when they went to approval, because we had classes the had multiple categories. We had to do some work to appease the MSA, which was very galling to see at...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
Stuart, i better get polishing the trailer :D :D Peter K. With the new categories from the MSA it is getting more difficult to do this. With a standard road car you can compete without any extra safety gear, but if you modify the car to take it out of the roadgoing class, i.e. fit perspex windows, r...

Keith The 'new for 2010' class N is for any road based Imp (and all variants) or clan or davrian that complies with the regs for Modified Specialist Production cars see section 12 in http://www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/msa_forms/bluebooks/10/323-334%20Sprints,%20etc.pdf . Basically its the fully modi...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
Right, due to some rule changes by the MSA the imp classes have had to change for 2010 in the H.S.A. Speed Championship. The main change being that we are unable to run class P anymore. The MSA have stipulated all classes must only have cars from one category (i.e. production cars, racing cars etc)...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
The HSA round this week was at MIRA, unfortunately no good for spectators, but Graham Cashmore (Dav mk6), Joe Tisdall (Vixen) and me (clan) all had fun. Weather was dry for first practice and wet for the other 2 practice runs. nice and dry for the timed runs in the afternoon. I started off with a sl...

Re: Topic dedicated to HSA Speed Championship Class N
Come on Paul, just think what a day off watching will do for your enthusiasmBut I have to prioritise my scant money and time towards getting the ManiacImp up and running and fit for the trip up to Imp '08. Failure is NOT an option!

Keith. Sounds pretty good. Just a couple of things just in case the scrutineer is having a bad day :-) Make sure the throttle springs, if they are twin webers, operate on the spindles, not just the linkages. The standard weber type throttle linkage has the return springs operating on the linkage its...

Chris Unfortunately you can't be in class N (roadgoing imps) in the HSA championship as your engine will be classed as too big. The MSA have an equivalency factor of 1.4 for turbo's so your car will be classed as having a capacity of 1302cc (altho' i tink they are really 928cc so 1299cc). The cc lim...
