Alex, The best thing about them is that they were free :D and they are very comfortable. That's a good point and now thinking a thin piece of clear acetate like a gasket under the top and bottom rails so the slider slides over that instead of the window.
Can easily be replaced when that wears out and cheaply I would think.

Another great update indeed as Andy has already said.

I doubt you can beat the comfort of a Recaro and they seem to suit the Imp so well. Fishnet headrests remind me of 2.8i Capris, RS2000's .. Cool seats. :wink:

Certainly a nice looking spoiler Andy but when I looked for one they were never in stock so went for the cheap and easily available Golf style.
I did get the aluminium from a welder mate who has a stack of it so that has only cost me time.

Thanks Baz, a little bit closer. Today I managed to get the rhs window fitted with a little help from my son :) who also helped me fit the drivers door to a more satisfying look to it. Best we could do considering it is from a race car originally and fibreglass. At least as good as Lunwoods attempt....

Thank you Graham but I still have the original clips that were fitted to the car and I am using the original back board as a template to make a new one. Lesley supplies the material to cover this when you order the headlining. :)

Hi Lesley, I thought a dry run would be the best way to make sure I had an idea how much material was there and the stringers were going to hold it all in place as they weren't the original stringers from the car. One of the first things I fitted to my imp after painting the shell was the headlights. It just made the wee car seem so much more complete straight away. Gives the car a face too. I totally agree Alex, that's why I did it even though I know the lamps will come back out more than once before the MO...

Finished of the rear checks traps on the rear suspension tonight but forgot to take a photo. :roll:
I also fitted the front and rear lights though along with the grille and did take a photo. :D

Scott, That would be great if you have the headling stringers and they are in better nick than mine.
