Re: PES 989J... "The Pest" ....Oooh the headlining!!!!

Hi Lesley, I thought a dry run would be the best way to make sure I had an idea how much material was there and the stringers were going to hold it all in place as they weren't the original stringers from the car. Loads of material I may add which was good to see and I must have read your instructio...

Re: PES 989J... "The Pest" ....Ooooooh the headlining!!

Thanks folks, really chuffed with it going back together and looking how I imagined it would. So after chatting over tackling fitting the headling last night at the local Edinburgh meeting with Scott and John I bit the bullet and had a go tonight. Mainly this was to see how it will fit and what I ne...

Re: Door locks and a key?

Thanks for the advice. It is only needed for the drivers door Gary, the ignition I am using is from the Honda which has a different key. I will give Bob a shout as a whiney new lock would look good. My lock works fine it is just ugly with the face plate where the key enters the lock is all bent and ...

Door locks and a key?

Hi,
Nearly ready to put the door handles back on the Pest and looking at the locking drivers side the lock itself looks like it has been attacked with a screwdriver.
Is there any new locks available with a key?

Andy, I got them from the same dude from South America as I read his address on the box last night before fitting them. Re: PES 989J... "The Pest" ....H4 headlamp conversion

One of the first things I fitted to my imp after painting the shell was the headlights. It just made the wee car seem so much more complete straight away. Gives the car a face too. I totally agree Alex, that's why I did it even though I know the lamps will come back out more than once before the MO...

Scott, That would be great if you have the headling stringers and they are in better nick than mine. The photo above Scott, is that what you have bought?

Are you thinking of making the Imp Estate from what you have then? Can an Avenger estate tailgate be used for this or would it be too wide, wrong shape?? Just a thought.
