Re: PKE 321M

Hi Tim You are correct the later Kent cars were all blue and it didn't have the blue revolving lamp just the illumination light box. I was bored of the plain blue and wanted it to look more Police-like, so I modelled it on the Kent imps from 68-72 that did have the white stripes. It gets a lot more ...

Re: PKE 321M

To be fair to my builder Cala, the garage is pretty big inside. I have fitted units all the way down one side and when the car is in I can open both doors and get out either side. It was even plasterboarded all round for insulation which makes it a big smaller, but worth it. The land rover can get i...

image.jpeg Hi all, I thought I would share an image of my Police Imp. I have owned PKE 321M for 9 years. It has never really been on the road and I had thought of selling it earlier this year but having owned it for so long, I decided to finish it and use it. John in our area centre kindly gave it ...

A year on from my last post and the welding is now finally complete. Despite thinking it was done when we dropped the suspension to double check and paint the floor it needed more than we thought so another year later it is now finally solid and being built back up again. I will post more pictures l...

Anyone know what happened to this imp? It was known as the black bomber. Rough looking but on the road it was a good runner. It changed hands between a few club members reguarly between 2000/2004 as a winter runaround and was last seen in Scotland. Has it survived? I last knew of it in 2004 when i s...

Re: Mk1 hillman imp saved from scrap

Hi. Well done on saving this car. Great find. Very early imps had no soft crash pad to the right of the dash binnicle. Its not possible to see from the pics. If it is just metal then this is a very early car. I have a June 63 one. Great to see another saved. In terms of getting chassis plate i had s...

Two months since my last post. The car went off to Winlinton Garage run by a club member. Alan is going to give the car a complete mechanical overhaul and get it through an MOT. Alan has suggested modifying the front H brackets so that the shocks are accessed from inside the bonnet area. I think thi...

NNS 872P - Hillman Imp Caledonian

Thought I should start a thread on my Caledonian. I bought the car in Paisley in 2012 after it had been in a garage for 29 years, just a few miles from Linwood.
