Loved the way a couple of Escorts & a Mini dived for the ditch. That's more my style of driving. Agreed that it's the nut behind the wheel but I'm sure that the Avenger isn't exactly a cooking model & I imagine that it might have cost the odd bob or two. Prepares to be shot down  About...

Sorry Mike. Won't be down & neither, of course, will the car  :x  :x

Are you doing the event? Shame apparently that Greystoke is out this year.

No problem about the pic. I'll get it from you sometime. Just lay off these 24 hour shifts before it knackers you :P

Still I bet that you enjoyed it Mike & that's basically the main thing. A nice catch all car that's fun at various types of event.

Was it more enjoyable than the rallying? Certainly much shorter...........just about as long as a long test !!
AND
NO DAMAGE !!

Blimey Mike don't you ever chill out ?!?! Best of luck with those hours. I gave up the 09.00 - 17.00.........Too much. Now I only worry about the car & the huskies. That's more than enough !!!!!

Good idea IM but it aint an Imp so no oddment bins  Mike.........Drill a Hole........OK can cope with that. Bonnet pin bolted through the floor...........OK can cope with that. Eh what happens after that.......not sure how the bonnet pin secures the jack. Must be easy enough but I seem to b...

Jack storage

Not too sure where to put this so I've dropped it in here.

Simple question. How to mount a small scissor type jack inside a car so that it's "tied" down tightly but doesn't float around the car BUT stays easily accessible. Can't mount in the engine compartment or the boot.

Hi Ed Yes I know your rally prepared rolling shell. Unfortunately took ages to get on the Clan site & missed its sale (The ex Mike Curry Clan) What a bitch missing that one !! AND Missed your other Luff shell that you sold to Alan. I've seen what he's doing to it. Most Impressive. His second full be...

AH a difference of opinion. Well I've got news for you. I've actually costed accurately the build up of a Clan using new parts where possible to a good (100BHP) 998/1040 Clan. Look at the various engine builders if you want the cost of an engine alone !! Scary stuff but those are the costs unless of...

Yes Sandy I'm thinking that Nova/Corsa/Peugeot could be the way to go. Certainly much cheaper than Imp/Clan/Davrian & if you wipe it out (Always a possibility with my driving!!) then it isn't going to cost an arm & a leg. Like you I think that a Clan is a great idea BUT cost wise it's not so attract...

This isn't to hijack this thread which I find most interesting BUT all the comments seem to be relevant to our Southern brethern. Now I'm in deepest Scotland I.e. North of Hadrian's and there aint much about up here that I'm aware of. There's Knockhill but Clan or Imp.........What class even if ther...
