Re: Bonhams Goodwood Sale - JDU 48 E

Personally I hope that whoever bought it is happy with it & enjoys it. In these times where nondescript rally Ford Escort Mexicos are going for £25,000 & ex works Minis for £100,000 I reckon that £19,500 is a "reasonable" price to pay. Even if only the registration is ex works it looks a nice car be...

OK Steve.

Can't check the bank account just now but even if it has gone through that wouldn't necessarily guarantee that my cheque has been cashed by the imp Club. :o

IMP08 Booking Receipt

Booking sent. E-Mail address given but no acknowledgement received. Is there an e-mail address to contact Keith or Mary Robbins?

Either that or do they have a "handle" for a PM?

Re: Elvington Sprint

Well looks like there isn't going to be a deluge of entries & as I don't fancy going on my tod I think that I'll give it a bodyswerve. The classes in your English events appear, from the comments, to be frought with difficulties. I suppose that the final straw was the tyre "problem" My tyres are lis...

According to the Blue Book [C (c) 90] "Helmets bearing one of the following standards may be approved by the MSA (Subject to other criteria also being met)" At Para 92 "All MSA Events..........BS 6658-85 Type A (Type B is not acceptable)" BUT You would have to have the helmet approved by a scutineer...

Re: Elvington Sprint

Reckon that Peter's car, from the limited information available to me, would fit into Class 1. Road Saloon & Sports Cars up to 1400cc. Nope. I agree with Eric. Missed that one. My Clan wouldn't fit into Class 1. The trim element is probably arguable but they would get me on the windows. I don...

We also have an invitation to a Sprint at Elvington on Saturday, but you’ll need a Comp Licence to enter

Although it's getting a wee bit off topic the next round of a SCOTTISH hillclimb/sprint championship is only 148 miles away from me. Re: Imp takes FTD at Prescott

Sorry but there's no way that the HSA could be said to be a "National" series.

It's an English based series. Their own event nearest to me [Curborough] is 350 miles away. [That's one way !!] The nearest event in the championship however is only about 300 miles away...........one way.

Incidentally, a second car would be required to pay the £15 event non camping rate.
Just to clarify it further............. :)

Does the £40.00 cover the cost of a tent + car on a trailer + tow car ?

No of bodies.............one/two

According to the news from the Pirelli in Carlisle Geoff Taylor won class B1 in his Imp. He was 44th overall. Not so good news on Jimmy Mcrae. He apparently crashed his Porsche at high speed. Doesn't overfilling it lead to oil "spewing" out?
