Re: Spaceframe Imps

I bit the bullet yesterday and dropped all my panels off to Chris at fibreclass, he’s confident he can replicate my original panels and he’s going to put a coloured gel coat on too. I’ve been looking at my tub and started to realise there’s quite a bit of work to replace the cage and some of the ori...

Re: Spaceframe Imps

Does anyone have any pics of the ccc stiletto driven by Enderby? I cant find any online
Also does anyone know Stephen Brett ?...
I’ve just been reading up on Enderby and his mason stiletto, I’m hoping to drag it out of the shed soon and make a start on it.

Re: Spaceframe Imps

It needs to be raced. I have a fresh chessman engine with an r21 twin 40s to go in it and I think a quaife box, but....the car needs a hell of a lot of work. The trouble I have is I'm a bit of a perfectionist and this is a race car that was built to go quick and look good at 10 feet...I want it to g...

Mike , It's a slightly darker shade of baby blue.
Col I've only been messing around with it, I'm supposed to be finishing my sunbeam before I can invest any time or money on the edwards car! Nearly there now so I'm hoping to make a start on it this year.

Re: Spaceframe Imps

Cheers mike. It would be good to know a little more about it. I was told it was enderbys mason stiletto when I bought it but I never take these things for granted. At the moment it's in its component parts in my garage.

Hi all I'm just rubbing down the panels on the edwards car (page 5 of this forum). with a view to restoring it and was going to Paint in an original colour but I've found about ten different colours on the car (as with most race cars I suppose it's had a few different owners /sponsors) Which colour ...

centaur mk1 a funny thing (only just!)

well heres a funny thing..... someone in scotland contacted me about selling my Centaur in May, he kindly offered me what i'd spent out on it despite the fact that i'd told him about my wrangle with DVLA. He sent a cheque and duly collected the centaur in June. Then a month later he called and said....

i had a plan for a similar conversion, i bought a gordini turbo engine, a gt turbo group A carb intercooler and water injection with a turbo tecnics hybrid turbo, a gearbox in fact half a gordini turbo, it's all in the corner of the shed awaiting a suitable imp (and time) really interesting to see t...

even the man from vosa agreed that it would never pass an iva test (kit car test) because it doesn't meet with european standards etc and i can't remember what the engine number was supposed to be i only got to glance at it.

i took the centaur to vosa today and the chap was very pleasant and helpful, even though the dvla said that they had no record of the car they actually did! but the lack of identifying numbers on my car and the fact that the engine number didn't match there records points to a big fat NO... the vosa...
