Stage Rallying 2015 - Gravel or Tarmac interest

Hi All, Just wanted to gauge whether there is any interest out there in competing on a series of or just an individual event of Gravel or Tarmac stages next year. There are a couple of Historic championships and a few good non-damaging individual events planned for 2015. Would be good to see some mo...

Re: Historic Stage Rally Championships 2014

Hi All, Following up on Keith's post above, he is being extremely modest about his and Andrews' efforts in fixing the car in Service. They had done most of the usual checks and 15 of our 60 mins had already passed when eagle eyed Andrew spotted the split doughnut! It was completely split and amazing...

Re: British Historic Rally Championship - 2013 Update

A fantastic car IMHO built with great attention to detail on every aspect. Whoever buys this car has a real gem as its built to do the job. Only sorry Nigel and H wont be joining us in it in future but will be good to see someone else out in the Forests and on Tarmac Historic events. Good luck with ...

Re: British Historic Rally Championship - Jim Clark Historic

Yes, very well done Mike. Not an easy event and you must be very pleased that the car made it through without a major issue - you must be one of the unluckiest guys around for the car letting you down on so many events recently. Well done again and look forward to seeing you back in the Championship...

Re: Improving brakes on rally Imp

Thanks Guys, Really appreciate all your thoughts and advice - very informative and thought provoking. In short, we are doing the BHRC Championship and the rules dictate we have to run only period spec pre -68 but we get a little dispensation if all Impers (no others this year, I'm afraid) are runnin...

Hi Rod, Good to hear from you and yes shame you havent still got the yellow car - would have been great to compete again. It honestly can be done on a modest budget and I encourage any Impers who fancy some fun rallying to consider giving it a go. Would be happy to help with any advice. Would be goo...

Hi Simon, :o Shocked to hear at Gaydon and on here you are looking to sell up and really sorry you wont be joining us this year. Works disc brakes/Viva discs/homologation

:( Anyone know the size of the Viva discs originally used by the works?

Also were the calipers Herald or what and what brackets?

Finally what was actually homologated with size of disc and type/description and when - does anyone have a copy of the page?

Sorry guys, this is urgent.

Cheers

Mike, On another matter, what airbox/filters do you run? I have had a problem with dust getting in to the carbs/ engine running Pipercross filters - it was extreme dust on those stages however but have been looking at my options. Using perspex is in part related to this as I have been considering us...

Perspex pre 1968

Anyone know whether Imps were rallied with perspex side and rear windows pre 68? Malkin car was a lightweight machine but did it have perspex and when did he first run it?
Any evidence would be appreciated.
