Re: Ginetta G15 project
So some 7 years after I first had the pleasure (or maybe it’s displeasure?) of owning this car and it’s coming back into my hands again. I sold the car to a friend who then chopped a hole in the floor (thankfully on the easier part to replace) to fit a bike engine, he has sadly been busy for the las...

Gaz adjustable shocks arrived this morning :) Will be one of the last things to fit before its MOT though. I don't want to get over spray over the nickel plating and spoil them. Hard front, soft back suspension I think, before anyone says thats not how to set an Imp up. Remember my engine is mid mo...

Must say looking at this project I wish I would have just bought a bike engine for my imp rather than doing 2k+ on modding an engine I doubt will see the naughty side of 75bhp
anyone want to buy an expensive non impressive engine?
Looking great, keep up the good work

To me it looks as if the fronts are on the rear and the rears are on the front. That's my guess too. Infact I remember seeing an imp with wide front arches all round that looked really good when it was all blended in due to the front arches being slightly narrower. You've turned it around really qu...

13in aren't necessarily 'better' - its just easier to buy high performance tyres for them. 5.5in wide is spot on IMHO and if you are running 13in rims, the size to go for is 185/60x13 as this gets you very close to the original rolling radius and there are lots of quality options out there (Yokoham...

Those soda blasting kits seem hideously slow. There's a video somewhere of them blasting a Jensen and it took ages. I find I'm better off using aluminium silicate, strips quickly, removes rust (soda doesn't 100%) and reusable (soda turns to dust)
